Reforms,Governments and Dildo's.

Reforms,Governments and Dildo's.

When the 1991 economic reforms were announced, India was the ugly duckling of the world’s economies, with forex reserves less than $1 billion and economic growth close to stagnant.India is now among the top contributors to world Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with a share of 5%, after USA (22%), China (13%) and Japan (7%).
India’s at the top of the heap as far as growth in per capita income is concerned too. For the period 1997-02, India’s national income grew at 19%, second only to China, which grew at 39%. But its growth is double that of the US. Moreover, in terms of acceleration of growth rates, India is second to none. India is the only country in the world that has shown rising growth rates over the 1992-2002 decade. During the current decade 1992-2002, India’s per capita income grew by 46% from the 36.5% growth rate observed during the decade 1982-1992.All other biggies have shown negative growth rates.
India’s services sector, a 51% contribu! tor to India’s GDP, has the fastest growth across 130 countries while the same sector has seen dwindling rates in all other big economies.
In December 2003, India’s foreign exchange reserves crossed the $100 billion mark. With strong economic fundamentals behind it, high inflow of foreign capital both direct and portfolio investments, India is poised for a take off.Maybe our time has come.
The combined effect of the three important components -- agriculture with 4.1 per cent, manufacturing 6.8 per cent and service, led to an overall 7.0 per cent growth in GDP during April-September 2003-04,and a sparkling 8.4 percent growth rate in the second quarter of 2003.
The rupee has gained by over 5% (241 paise) during calendar ’03 – from Rs 48 a dollar on January 1 to Rs 45.59 on Dec 31st .This is the first time it has gained in a year since 1993, when partial convertibility was introduced.
Manufacturing was the big comeback story of 2003, with every other engineerin! g company proving its mettle in the global markets, including China. Costs were reduced, productivity was hiked, quality was improved, operating margins increased and, most important of all, India Inc’s engineers and workers gained the confidence that they could produce goods on par with the best.Investment bankers and CEOs expect cross-border deals to double as more Indian companies venture abroad to acquire customers and markets, as well as gain greater control of the supply chain.
In outsourcing, estimates are that tens of thousands of more jobs will move from the US and other western countries to India, from plain vanilla call centres to much higher forms of work such as equity research, medical diagnosis and chip design. It’s already reached a stage where angel investors in Silicon Valley won’t touch a proposal unless there is an India back-end to it.
It would be foolish, and irresponsible, to try and predict where the market’s going. But if the buzz i! s to be given some credence and the number of IPOs in the pipeline are to be taken cognisance of, the bulls far, far outnumber the pessimists. The sensex has gone from 3377 to almost 6000 in 2003, while the broadbased BSE 500 index has doubled between Jan 1 and Dec 31. A 73 percent rise, thats twice or more than every possible market in the world except Thailand. The Nikkei,Strait times,Hang Seng the erstwhile stock market superpowers have grown by 22-34 percent only. The NASDAQ and other exchanges need not be mentioned.Thailand has grown by 116 percent but we need to take in account a Prime Minister who loves to splurge money to the poor, lower interest rates and an economy that still isn't among the worlds elite.

All that took some time to be compiled, but that isn't what i wanna talk about. Is our government in any way responsible for the growth that has taken place.Of course in the coming polls the huge election battlecry is going to be how the government supposedly turned around the economy.
Some observers say fragile coalition governments are incapable of purposive reform. Yet the Gowda Gujral and now the NDA governments have given us liberalisation, at a faster pace than the Rao government. Once Information minister Jaipal Reddy declared that minority governments are better reformers than majority ones because they are anxious to perform in the limited time-span a vailable to them. Most businessmen now say economic policy has been delinked from politics, so political instability affects them little. India has typically been driven by crisis rather than ideology.Someone might sneer at this. 'You really think you can fire more accurately with an unsteady hand ! than a steady one?' they ask. No, I am saying something different: that the man with a steady hand often believes he need not fire at all.
Digging in the past, figures have always suggested that India was always on the brink of a breakthrough.Reform is more than a change in policy, it is a change in mind-set. A successful country needs a large and vigorous number of economists, bureaucrats, journalists, technicians and businessmen who believe in change and can help transform the mind-set of a country. India had all these for decades, even if they represented a minority view. Come 1991, they became the new intellectual elite. Their coming to the fore represented an internal change with strong indigenous roots, not one foisted from without. That represents the triumph of the new Indian thinkers.
India has been lucky to get two finance ministers like Man Mohan Singh and Chidambaram who understood the need for reforms and fiscal prudence.Yashwant Sinha doesn't fall in that gro! up.The efficiency of the economy has improved. This is why, with very little increase in our investment rate, we have increased our GDP growth rate from 5.5 per cent in the 1980s to 7 per cent in the 1990s.Now the investment rates too are booming. The government can't possibly take all the credit for all the homework that was done by the earlier finance ministries. Its immmaterial that the Vajpayee government is leaving no stone unturned to to project the country and especially its economy as modern and progressive. The election commisson soon saw the gimmicks and made the govt stop those " commercials of development".
Business reforms have been taking place in India irrespective of political stability or rather the lack of it.The interference by the red tape, bureaucrats, babugiri is all that connects the reforms and the governments. The connections obviously differ from party to party. That to me just means that the government cannot claim to have a huge slice in the reform revo! lution. The way when you deal with a dildo,u can't say its my dildo just because you own it.(fight club!!!).It just remains a dildo.
Where do governments figure in the development than?Accountability, and at all levels. That is what a good government do for a economically prosperous India.

We need accountability not only once in five years at election time but in all the months in between. This has to be achieved by the rule of law, not be even more elections. Those who break the law must suffer swift penalties. If instead they become king-makers and chief ministers, then accountability, the true purpose of democracy, tends to disappear. Election' cease to represent the will of the people and instead become a sort of beauty con test for the mafia. Now, competition between bandits is unquestionably better than rule by a single bandit, so Indian democracy is not a total sham. Yet it falls well short of what a democracy is supposed to deliver. We urgently need judicial and administrative reform to produce a system that speedily puts crooks in jail. Unfortunately, bandit-legislators are unlikely to give any priority to reforms that will put them in jail. What happens when a democracy gets sabotaged in this manner? Typically, there is internal revolt s! omewhere. In India, we are seeing a revolt of some institutions like the judiciary, which are no longer prepared to acknowledge the moral authority of elected politicians. This explains why the Supreme Court has held that the Central Bureau of Investigation should report to an independent Chief Vigilance Commissioner rather than the Prime Minister or Home Minister.

Maintaining public order is clearly a political matter, and so police dealing with public order must be under the home minister. But why should criminal investigation be under the Home Ministry, or under any political control at all? It should be an independent operation, which politicians are helpless to affect. The police should be divided into two streams, one to deal with public order and another to deal with crimes.

How will this change politics? A great deal. The attempts of a Laloo Yadav or Jayalalitha to subvert prosecution will no longer threaten the life of governments. The political process will gradually be purged of criminal elements. A better class of individuals will find it worthwhile to enter politics. Governance and accountability will at last improve.

Stability without accountability represents a kernel of autocracy, covered by the husk of elections.

Aug 19th

For three years now my mum has screamed at me for making harshad wake
me up early mornings ,if we have to get up that is.i always tell
her,the big ben can miss, not this guy.she does what she always
does, listens.it was abt 545 i guess, its his rule to wake an hr before
the scheduled meeting time.i slept a bit after that, and was brushing
when eddy called to find out how am doin.with a brush in my mouth i
speak just a little more than vowels and noises, but than we've talked
long enuff to know our vowels only too well.the finer points of the
day were discussed, including whacking shreyas in case the "picnic"
bus wasn't the way a normal human being wud want it to be.(i have a
thing against the word picnic,or even a trip ,doesn't a trek sound
much better).lets not forget more than a couple of us were barging i
newer territory, sounds as exotic as faraway lands but dombivili shud
just be faraway land.a glance in the morning newspaper told me i was
gonna miss the drew carey show, hopefully get one half of the match
between India and the aussies, and get to see the finale of conair
which i like watching over and over again.when i was leaving the
house, cnn was showing the ongoing battle in liberia, espn had the indy
car racing, star sports as usual had golf.i've waited for him 3 yrs
now and i know he'll be late,or if i come late he'll only come
later.he had the usual excuse of not finding a rick so early,it was 7
than.hes eddy,i believe u wud have guessed.we reached dombivli,not as
exotic as i imagined it to be,at 725.not late enuff for everyone to
start swearing at us.we checked if we had enuff water, and enuff
everything else before we left ,that should be around 8some of us
hate travelling by bus get various kinda of sickness.like sujit who
gets motion sickness ,the kind which starts when the bus is
moving.Vicky has his version ,it starts if the bus doesn't get in
motion soon enough.each as unique as a snowflake.the usual
blabbering,banter,teasing,swearing,singing,annoying and more followed
in the bus.i was horribly, horribly, very horribly drunk and except
knowing that there was a lot of smoke, and a lot of noise i didn't
realise much that was going on in the bus .
The first stop
i was the last to get out of the bus, with bhairav i guess.sitting on
the last row isn't a habit its more like principle.the first thing
that struck me was that the water was obscenely cold, add the rain in
forest gumps words"rain comin from down below,up above, sideways rain
and more",which made it even more heavenly.i was still drunk and was
having difficulty climbing and so i didn't venture too far.we sat
under the water, gods own children, realxing under the piercing cold
water that was hell bent on breaking our backs.nature can never be
put down to words, and if it could be ,lonely planet would sell lots
of copies more.i'll just say the place was of almost cataclysmic
natural beauty.i was getting a hang of the place when everyone
started walking towards the bus,i didn't know why .i got to know we
were to see another fall before we'd have lunch.i was more focussed
on the lunch part.the second fall was twice as high, and it was like
crushed ice falling on u,the first contact would send a shrill shiver
through u realising how good it is to be under a warm quilt reading
grisham and listening to u2,and how this was still way better than
that.we couldn't stand there for long,as everyone was hungry and
noone was ambitious enough to freeze to death under a waterfall .
The second stop
Flamengo, till yesterday that was either a bird or a football club in
brazil but it turns out its also the only resort anywhere near
malshej.we had to walk a further 15 mins towards the place, visiblity
was good enough for robert kennedy to crash once again.we were
walking shuddering in the cold winds with the only warmth of the
jokes we hate to listen too.i was starting to make sense, not the
common one though and the topics of discussion now were the usual guy
topics, and its very easy to miss things u wish u had but u don't.the
food was good,i can't really tell u about the herbivores but the
chicken was hot n spicy enough to let us know we were still human.we
ate all we could and were ready for another dose of anything that
could come our way.we didn't go to the bus directly but hung around
near the place where i realised we were on a cliff.than we talked
and argued about the elevation, existence of wild animals, survival
rates, went as close to the edge as my caretaking friends would allow
me after which we were in the bus once again.
The third stop
The third stop came faster than what i thght was going to be a siesta-
in-motion.this time it was near a lake,it was actually on the path
that would go on ahead to the shivneri fort.not many actually came to
the lake, which was a bit far and the road there had a squeamingly
soggy marsh, some rock piles and mudwater the equivalent of half a
football field.the water wasn't very clear either.on our way back we
encountered a snake,albeit a dead one.from what i know about snakes
it was a non-poisonous viper,and a very common one.it was funny to
see guys afraid of a dead snake,i mean c'mon they can't even play
football.some of us had tea,the rain was yet to subside and the
weather was fantastic.
Near life experiences
Death is for the ordinary, life defines the immortals.Quite a few
people do believe this.we were back at the first stop yet
again.drinking and driving kills, rockclimbing can kill u either
ways.the water was colder now,the rains are taxfree in that area i
suppose.i wanted a trek and i was gonna have one,and also had some
company.we decided to venture a little higher to see how it was
like, there were 6 people in total ,half carnivores and the rest u
know what.a statistic i didn't find appealing,being a proud carnivore
i believe we are better climbers and inclined towards adventure.but
than this wasn't a competion among us.in rockclimbing the competition
is against nature, gravity and rain does add in a few surprises.the
initial few metres was easy enough after which it got very tricky and
it wudn't even need a mistake to end up with a broken leg or
worse.it was getting steeper and the fun was beginning.the first
breakpoint we came across was another fall that was formed in between
various clusters of rocks.it was getting better.getting above that
one wasn't a easy thing to do,but we did it anyways.the best part was
when we had to cross the falls, using a rock platform of about 4
inches or less meaning u could not put more than one foot at a
time, facing the rocks at an hieght of over 15 metres, the warm quilt
again came to my mind.there were no firm grips and the rain made
visibility farces.in our own silence we could hear nature daring us
to go ahead and 4 steps, and that was all it required to separate the
alive from the dead.pankaj mahajan and boricha, vicky, sharad, eddy ,and
me ,we had a moment that is going to live beyond our memories and our
life.we were sitting in a very small pond, about 2 m deep in front of
a water fall, hidden from humanity with rocks all around.above the
fall, there was a plain about 20 sq metres and it was easier to walk
there, water flowed endlessly from creches in the rocks.what we felt
cannot be put in words, nor should it be out in words.near life
experiences, thats what we call it.jubilation, exstacy, delirious might
come close, but not close enough.we had to descend now, which was far
more easier, lot more dangerous.easy because we knew the way, dangerous
because nothings easier than helping someone to pull u down.it took
half as long as climbing, and we certainly weren't tired.we came down
screaming till our lungs would allow us too and joined the others
giving the details of whats up above and relaxing in the water
slapping our backs.we were getting ready to head back home when a bus
with very interesting tourists delayed things.most of us got in the
bus changed into dry stuff, and it did feel good to be dry again.
The return journey
Everyone was tired enough to make the return journey a peacefully
uneventful one.the discussions took swings like astrology ,sports,a
certain gay chap and other things.the day had been vastly enjoyable
and we reached dombivili at 9 which wasn't any more exotic.before
reaching home,me,harshad and eddy washed down the sins of the day
with lots of icecream, the warm quilt was now closer.i reached home at
10,mum greeted me with a smile and her friendly voice sayin"don't
walk in if u have a broken foot","look honey,am i not running",i said.

postnotes:thankfully i didn't see India lose 4-1 to the aussies,got
to watch the cute kiddo in conair with her toy ,drew carey can come
again next week.

Homer And I

perception is a unique apprehension of all that is life around us.most people(u,me and homer simpson) will have the basic categories, things or entities we like or hate(or eat).in more supple language, good and bad( ya homer like fries).what is the criterion for a certain entity to be good or bad.lets talk abt basic stuff,if ur a jain, killing animals for meat is grotesque, heinous, unethical(relax homer, not us).not all(me and homer) will agree to that.what adolf did,as u said, unpardonable, ordering and executing( and no homer they did not make hotdogs out of them) a mass genocide for personal vendatta(can someone tell homer its not a synonym for burgers).he did what he felt was in the good category, the mission of his life,to finish every fukin jew(homer, its jew not juice) there is and take over the planet(stop dancing homer, christ man they are not makin a planet of the apes sequel),beacuse they were the superior race, and the progress of our planet would be better(no they are not giving free butter in exchange for lisa's report cards)under them.that after we gave had mass genocides, raped women, plundered our own planet.(no ones eating from ur fridge homer, and don't touch that).fear for humans is the ultimate mortification.(someone tell him that is not salami)it is the inevitability of our own mediocrity.(godammit eat,and am not takin u to the push the pipe up my ass and remove the pillow from my throat clinic).we fear directed superiority, when we the ones below.(911...911).fear inflicts anger, which is the outcome of our own inferiority.(can u stop makin that noise,i can't hear snow fallin).anger seeks reprisal and that is where hatred begins.(homer u can't drink duff now,the cushion won't act a filter).all a mere failure of the aspect that we cannot see ourselves as imperfect.good and bad is the fickle basis of continued misconception.(bart u don't need a jackhammer to remove that cushion).if i tell my little sister that a certain person is bad,and a minor reasoning to support it ,she will accept it.(homer, am not askin lisa to move the moon) it won't bother her much.that is what we do,accept unacceptable facts and shield ourself from abrupt sheepish self mediocrity.(how did u get rid of that,what..u swallowed it..,ok i get it ur a democrat).the right to destroy life,be it of a human or a fly is unethical.(no homer,we are not being attacked by giant flies, and whipped cream does not repel flies).every single life form has an fundamentally equal right to live(and love..yes homer also to watch the itchy and scratchy show).but that what about the bastart who raped a 12 year old minor a few weeks ago.should we be extending our compassion to the licentious scum around us.no,an affirmitive no.anyone bringing ribaldnous harm should be castigated with bon-afide benevolence,in poise with intensity of his deeds.(ya,hunt him down and feed him to the worms,n thank u for making homer sleep marge,u have beautiful hair).we have the authority to do that because we are sharing this planet.(yes marge,i will try appus special massage oil to make it stand up,oh..i mean them,my hair,ya the hair on my head, can u give me a moment)and to secure its survival we can remonstrate against the delinquent.its about time we concieve the concept of universal equality and work towards the betterment of the planet and not just our own personal existence.(homer they are not showin fight club on tv,it was a nightmare,go back to sleep,in your bedroom, not the fridge).

Fight Club

i have watched, loved ,enjoyed, felt inspired and also have been haunted by this movie.the movie goes a long way from the kinda movie where after u finish u change the channel ,get along with something else.the movie hits u,the next time u look in the mirror ,u don really wanna see urself.its not just a movie, its a revolution.its a new way of looking at urself.some of the stuff in ur body is ur blood,we r not what clothes we wear,or the music we listen, the plate we eat in,or the car we wanna drive.when we r dyin there r gonna b lotsa people who r gonna lissen to us,and not wait for their turn to speak.and it wud b painful if we don't really find any good last words, have a "moment",for some of us that moment is our whole life.we spend it tryin to b someone else, running away from who we actually are.we don't have demons,we create them for us.we buy new shoes, make new friends, dream newer fantasies, watch the same old cricket team being drubbed again.ever thought of life, its ending ,rite now when am writing this shit, its goin away, each moment is passing by.there r always better things we wanna do,but there is the catch how we define better.sometimes when we are lost, given up all hope,we sense a new freedom.only when we have lost everything that we are free to do anything.we go to college, every 6 months give exam(s),freak out for 3 months, get our results, when i feel like killing myself, than again the whole cycle repeats again.where r we goin, toward a life,a a career ,whats a career, a well payin job, when u get u buy the belt that suits ur personality,or the car u have been dreaming off.ever asked we own our stuff,or our stuff owns us.i have seen parents, the only aim in whose life is to see their son doin well at school, gettin good marks, stayin away from bad guys, not smokin, not drinkin, not too many gals near him, can't trust him more than the distance they can throw him, gettin him a job,n than married so that he can do the same thing all over again.is that what we are gonna b doing,is that the meaning of my life.earning money, having sex, makin kids, and making them do the same shit all over again.we believe in stuff because we were told u belive in all of that when we were kids, like god,and the atomic theory, and modern physics, told what was good and what was bad ,and we go on with life that way.we were never told why it was good ,and we never bothered to ask.its time we do,no big deal is we don't,many will lead a good life, get good jobs, get married, lead a happy life.a happy life without ever knowin what happiness is.people before us have had wars, depressions, for us the war is ourselves.the need to be better people, the urge to get a life.rite now don't feel insane, find that u were insane.we've heard that we hurt the person we love, ever loved urself so that u cud hurt urself.the tibetians say that we are dying each and every moment of our life, but fukin shit, this is not a good way even to die.having near death experiences is ok,we need have near life experiences.

Ek Chotisi Prem Katha

it was well past 11 that fateful night. a time when most mothers would expect their daughters be warm in bed. but not hers. reason. she was smart enough to take care of herself. captain of the soccer team, and a girl that never invites or echos trouble.whatever her mother thought. she is not to blame, she's her mum , for she will not know the nightmare that danced alive.

strong ? yes. but not just strong, this girl was smart. smart enough to snatch what her craving, leaving her victim cunningly helpless that night.

"revenge" is what she calls it. revenge, for not returning the admiring looks she had thrown on this boy. he wasn't stronger, nor was he handsome, but he had a charm that drew her. innocence. something she was intoxicated by, his shyness. sadistic thoughts rose into play, desperately seeking a playmate - his coyness. it showed on her face - a devilish sly grin everytime he went past her. glasses on his nosebridge, he had no clue that the fiend was at play, right in front of him.

that night. smiling to herself with visions of the night, she set out. her strong physique would be the gun, and her mind the bullet that would shatter the young virgin.

it was 9. he would be out of the building any moment. she had already ensured dim lighting at the carpark. there he was. alone. just the way she wanted it.

"joe."

"ye. oh, hi !"

"could you give me a hand with this ?" she pointed to her flat tyre.

"sure, no probs." of course he'd help, she knew.

he bent to reach for the jack. you are coming right in baby, she thought nad smiled.

it was fast, five quick moves. the next thing he knew, he was in his car's backseat, wrists tied, mouth stuffed.helpless.

she drove. she already knew where she was going.

"i've been waiting too long, honey," she grinned.

"what are you doing ? jesus christ !"

"you are mine !"

there was some blood, but she didnt care whose it was. she got what she wanted.
he lay there, struggling to breathe. he had never had a tan, and now his face was even more pale.
pale with shock.

she loved it. she loved to see him shiver, staring at the singularity above. she loved it.

satan laughed through her lips. resting on his chest, she smiled. she was beaming with pride. her plan worked. and the pleasure was all hers. who the victim was, nobody would find out. he was a senior, he was a boy. there was a wooden log under the seat, there was blood. she had his fingernails etched on her, and he had hers. it was all just perfect.

he lay there, all had. still breathing. helpless. raped.

rape is a crime of the mind.this is just a story, what rape can do to the victim most of us will never even imagine.it will still be worse.

NaView - The Matrix Revolutions

NaView The Matrix Revolutions

Today its finally over,i'm done with watching the most awaited movie in recent times .If common sense does prevail as it mostly doesn't,u'd know what movie am talking about .Most people who'll be reading this haven't yet seen the movie and i'll try not to give out a lot in that context .If you're not planning to watch the movie i'd say u stop read now .
In the original, the story was very clean and it even made sense if you accepted the basic premise of the film. In the second installment the storyline was much more confusing, but that was easy to tolerate in the context of a trilogy the second installment is supposed to leave you with unanswered questions .And the third O*e does answer ur questions, but O*ly after u've given it a lot of thought.
It begins rather slow, for the die hard fans ,and the flaws in the film can be counted with a PDA .Most critics are gonna bust this movie wide open because of some very predictable errors .I don't look at the trilogy as action oriented, rather is a romance with some amazing action .That is the twist that the Wachowski brothers added, and a perspective that most critics will never agree too .
Philosophy involves seeing the absolute oddity of what is familiar and trying to formulate really probing questions about it.That makes the trilogy a boon for My Kind
The Matrix presents a version of an old philosophical fable: the brain in a vat. A disembodied brain is floating in a vat, inside a scientist's laboratory. The scientist has arranged that the brain will be stimulated with the same sort of inputs that a normal embodied brain receives. To do this, the brain is connected to a giant computer simulation of a world. The simulation determines which inputs the brain receives. When the brain produces outputs, these are fed back into the simulation. The internal state of the brain is just like that of a normal brain, despite the fact that it lacks a VOID. From the brain's point of view, things seem very much as they seem to you and me. The brain is massively deluded, it seems. It has all sorts of false beliefs about the world. It believes that it has a VOID, but it has no VOID. It believes that it is walking outside in the sunlight, but in fact it is inside a dark lab. It believes it is O*e place, when in fact it may be somewhere quite different. Neo's situation at the beginning of The Matrix is something like this. He thinks that he lives in a city, he thinks that he has hair, he thinks it is 1999, and he thinks that it is sunny outside. In reality, he is floating in space, he has no hair, the year is around 2199, and the world has been darkened by war. There are a few small differences from the vat scenario above: Neo's brain is located in a VOID, and the computer simulation is controlled by machines rather than by a scientist. But the essential details are much the same. In effect, Neo is a brain in a vat.
Perception: Our day-in, day-out world is real.
Reality: That world is a hoax, an elaborate deception spun by all-powerful machines that control us. Whoa.
The 18th-century Irish philosopher George Berkeley held, in effect, that appearance is reality. (Recall Morpheus: "What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.")

Perceptions are unique for each individual and The Matrix capitalizes O* it by encapsulating every possible idea, equation in the movie terms,to ensure the survival of its own world,The Machines .The Matrix is receptiveness to humanity, and its weaknesses is what makes it stronger than The Humans.Every possible thing a human can understand ,and define in a set of finite parameters is used by The Machines to ensure supremacy.
We as humans cannot comprehend some things, and for the same reason The Machines, and Agent Smith cannot decipher Human values as emotions,Love,Hatred and Pain caused by either .When Neo loses Trinity, he loses his most basic desire to live .The finality of the trilogy is based O* that inability of The Machines to figure out Human Emotion .Smith can never figure out what makes Neo give up his life in a fight that he'll lose ,a consequence that he'll never experience .We as humans can never figure out why we do certain things. As Agent Smith says,The path of love is similar to the path of insanity, and it is that same insanity that separates us from Machines, rather the living from the non-living.The abilities that have been endowed upon us by the creator, and our inability to define them while making them the most crucial part of our lives.Deja-Vu for me,again i feel our inability to control and comprehend certain things is O*e of the biggest reasons we are together as a species.

Do You Smoke..?

Do You Smoke..?

the FIA announced the schedule for the 2004 season, the notable changes include the addition of bahrain ,china and the absence of austria and canada.the reason for the austrian grandprix being left out of the 2004 calender is its sponsorship contracts with the tobbaco industry.i find it absolutely ridiculous, and juvenile that the FIA has banished a spectacular track which has given us plenty of adrenalin rushing action in the past few years.the A1 ring ,one of the oldest tracks in the calender is also O*e of the most picturesque located between a forest and mountain.the new Fia regulations which don't allow tracks to be associated with tobbacco multinationals(TM's) is a narrowminded ,thoughtless conclusion which if spreads to other sports will certainly slow the rate of development, and limit excellence in sport.

i don't smoke, and i do have a thing against smokers for polluting air and even endangering the non-smoking intelligentsia with the adversities that accompany smoking. But i will still allow the TM's to pour money in sport because most governments can't do enough to raise world standards.Smoking is injurious to health and believe me when a smoker dies or stands in line to get his rotten lung replaced,he has all my good wishes and sympathy.sports has been associated with tobacco sponsorship since its early days,we've had a world cup sponsored by them, the top 4 formula O*e teams are sponsored by tobacco conglomerates, they've spent money O* rallies, teams and all possible areas O* investment in sport.regardless of that the fact remains that athletes don't smoke and if they do,they don't remain athletes for long.the advertising regulations that govern the tobacco industry are already extremely stringent and their eagerness to sponsor sports event is O*ly understandable.if they overstep the line legally ,they will be caned and of course they should be.they are O*ly trying to sell a product, which isn't a modern day health food type just the opposite actually.the smokers buy cigarettes and its in their own legal rights, because they can buy ciggarettes.its like a prostitute who knows shes giving physical favours, buying money and losing a part of herself with it but still she does for reasons known to herself.if u shutdown the whole system, the reasons still remain, and they are her own personal reasons.much like the smokers.

what exactly is the Fia trying to do whens its coming down so heavily O* the TM's,assumably its trying to curtail the number of youngsters O* being enchanted with pleasure of smoking.is that not an outright insult of freedom of _VOID,the Fia nor can anyone else make the decison for any individual about him trying to kill himself.its like a fools right to be foolish.personally i feel every smoker knows the consequences of smoking and he/she isn't really bothered about it,or maybe is bothered and can't stop coz of his personal reasons.that isn't reason good enough to take off a brilliant circuit from the formula O*e calender.at times i've even felt that the TM'S are doing a humanitarian job by wiping of the weak in our society, helping a loser lose.this is a form of survival of the fittest and the TM's have to applauded for their efforts, even Charles would agree.Too many people are dying everyday for us to be bothered about a few,and especially the weaker few.we can't stop a dying person from dying ,thats what gonna happen to him because of the choices he's already made.

it doesn't matter where the money comes from in sports,as long as it's being used for the benefit of sport and nowhere else.sports is as beneficial to humans as the arts,or even more and a true indicator of character.we as individuals have the rights and sometimes the sensibilities to make the right choices.Theres not enough reason to take my,and surely many others peoples favourite grandprix away from them especially if your also blocking the trash.

Yes ,I Smoke

People get addicted to smoking with choice, the tobbacco companies don't beg people to smoke nor do they take away the right to live, exist or even fuck up their lives.
A smoker makes a choice that he himself determines and comprehends.i will never bother if he/she wants to be known/self satisfied. My point of argument starts and ends with the issue of tobbaco sponsorship in sports. And believe me a to-be smoker will have lot more choice than a to be prostitute, thats follows basic common sense.he chooses to be an addict, and if hes choosing to be an addict ,why do think less advertising or making him watch shaktiman will stop it.i totally, completely and comprehensively agree that life outweighs money in any unbiased balance(if i oppose i won't have either),and a grand prix generates a revenue of about $ 500 million, creates hundred thousand jobs, amplifies tourism and a lot more.Give up all that, what does ur balance say now.
All form of sport is more than a pleasure, its an _VOID of the human mind and we cannot stop being expressive.Imagination and creativity will outlast intelligence, both are what else but intelligence having fun.Having a sport doesn't endanger the lives of 28 or 100 % of the people O* this planet.Freedom of _VOID and choice is the right of ever human being.F1 isn't a privilage, nor a necessity its a sport and like to an artist ,art is life.Ask michael F1 is his life.
Tobbaco industries generate huge profits, and ask Warren Buffet even he has made a huge pile of money by investing in R J Reynolds in the 80s.But the government encouragement to tobacco industries has long diminished.the industry has been struggling if not totally limping.the courts have ordered compensations to victims that now total over $ 500 billion, and guess what the TM's have paid the complete amount and are still paying. The future doesn't look bleak for the industry, rather they have no future.I will be O*ly more happy to tell u that if the EU has its way, tobbaco advertising will be history, and smoking will be permitted O*ly in certain places. As long as they are around why not milk them out completely. And i believe smoking in public places is banned in europe from the year 2004.No country in europe has registered positive growth rates in smoking in the last quarter. In short the end is near, why not completely strip them out.

Games People Play!

Military school nostalgia always occupies a special corner in a cadet’s heart wherever he may end up in adult life----of which the guts and glory of rule-breaking has pride of place.

Ours was a defence ministry.-run military school in a provincial town in Maharashtra. And owing to its dependence on erratic government funding, the School would have to come up with innovative ways every now and then to generate funds on its own.

One such idea that must have been a real ‘flash of inspiration’ and which, surprisingly, had got the go-ahead had been a small pisciculture project on some unutilised land on the campus----the idea being to supplement the school funds with the income generated by the produce in the local market.

We cadets had seen the project take shape from its conception to its operation before our very (hungry!) eyes and had long dreamt of the day when we too would partake of its benefits in the school mess. But as soon as the project became operational, an order was issued that the project was meant to benefit the cadets and the school, not directly (!), but only indirectly.

Seething with indignation, the senior cadets immediately called a council of war. A resolution was passed, a motto ("Fish or Perish!") adopted, measures and contingencies discussed and a plan of action drawn up.Theres no such thing as margin for error in some parts of the world.

Come Sunday night, 0000 hrs, and our mock Special Forces (SF) units---the martyrs to the cause---swung into action. Since the doors of the Houses were locked for the night, the exit had been planned through the grill-barred dormitory windows. After preliminary examinations, suitable windows were chosen for the escape. Within minutes, all but two of the screws fixing each of the grills to the window-frames had been taken out---so that the grills could now be turned around a vertical axis like revolving doors. Out jumped the troops noiselessly and the grills were swung back into position leaving no room for official suspicion.

Evading the watchmen doing their rounds and keeping well away from tar roads and street-lights, the units made their way to the pond. Armed with nylon mosquito nets (taken down from dormitory beds), a few troops from each unit entered the water. A few sweeps of the nets and a few minutes later, the units were hauling the catch back to the dormitories.

Gaining their entry the selfsame way, the units handed over their prize catch for further action---preparations for which had already been made. Covert operations in the cadets’ mess had yielded knives and seasoning ingredients. Stoves had been smuggled into the campus during the day from local acquaintances in the city. Hidden and camouflaged in large buckets (which cadets bought for washing clothes), they had successfully made it past the check-posts without any casualty.

That night, amid muffled cheers for the intrepid SF units and their logistics support, the whole school had a bada khaana---much to the unimaginable chagrin of the authorities the next day!

Burnt Fingers,And More..

Burnt Fingers,And More..

Lots of people got their fingers burnt today,I happen to be one of them.Mine was due to sheer ignorance to the prowress of fire, rather more appropriately heat.I was making a dosa, and it sorta got burnt and was sticking to the pan so i used my fingers to remove it.I knew it would be hot,but not the simple implication that my fingers would get burnt.(its ok socrates didn't know the amount of teeth his wife had).Rather i choose to override it.

India Shining, the first time i heard that i thought it was a commercial for Reliance (which i hate and will never use) Telecom. It wasn't to be,although it was something even funnier. It was the State proclaiming the rise of a developed India,i still find it funny.Stats were given, business men gave their thumbs up,everyone was happy. The NDA thought it had won even before the polls, and the congress thought it had lost.

Everyone knows what my views on the NDA are,in a sentence. They haven't done anything, especially all that they are screaming.Let me make sure u don't confuse me with being a Congress supporter, they are equally pathetic. But they don't take their dhols out on the streets.

As of this moment, its clear that the NDA will not form the governments.(India shining,a tad too hot to touch ..eh).Expert predictions that NDA will win upto 340 seats, with the Congress And Allies getting a Paltry 100 or so.It was further said that the Congress would win only in areas dominated by the backward castes, and non developed regions.(Read only ignorants will vote for them).

The results say that the Southern states which have had the highest growth and literacy rates have been sweeped by the Congress.Everyone knows what happened in Andhra,Naidu left to pressing F1.WB belongs to the Leftists.

The NDA has won in the developed regions of Gujarat,Rajasthan,MP,UP...LOL..They couldn't even get majorities in Punjab, and Haryana which were supposed to be strongholds.(they weren't allowed to contest in pakistan)They are left like rats scampering for food in a old warehouse.

Fingers will be raised, there will be enquiries,committees...at the end of it,there will be lots of people looking for new jobs. Most notably Jaswant Sinha, the finance minister..lol..one of the first to come up with India Shining.Even prebudget sops couldn't save his ass..lol..poor chap.

India shining, yea right. How many people are gonna fall for that. You don't fool an entire nation for your own political idiosyncrasies. They've paid the price for trying to do that.Sure they have achieved stuff, but to blow it up and taking all the credit ..sure we are a bit grown up for that..

Even they have burnt their fingers, trying to mess up with something overriding the implications. The satire of Atals political fantasy has come to an end, even a sad end.

The future for this country has always been bright and as we've always known ,it has never mattered who is in power and never will.

Tennis and Politics

I don't know if it happens to anyone of u.When your thinking you feel theres so much you can write and when you get down to it ,your mind is as blank as if your an amnesiac. Its hardly midweek and i'm thinking about the weekend. Not that i have made up a list of things that i'll do ,that'll be one list i just won't follow.Guga lost to Nalbandian yesterday who i feel is a fine player and plays with a lof of sync.In all probability Coria will face him in the final.Henman reaching the quarters is a miracle in itself.

The parliament had its first session yesterday, which meant a lot of young blood will now be doing the rounds.Sonia gandhis decison to refuse being the Pm is like classic italian defence.Giuseppe Bergoni and Paolo Maldini together coudn't have plotted a better backline. She knows that right now survival and strenghtening the party foundation is what is needed and shes went out to do just that.Shes handpicked the ministers meaning she won't really lose control. The decison has won over the country, and The BJP has yet another embarassment.Especially Sushma Swaraj and co who won't have anything to pull at now.In lesser words, the BJP is seriously screwed.

People often try to gauge the economic stability of the country by looking at the stock market numbers which is absolute absurdity. The index is based on the performance of just a few stocks. And stock proces never reflect the true value of a company anyway, its a number that fluctuates along with rumours. The previous BJP finance was hell bent on screwing up the country especcially Arun Shourie and in PC and the Pm himself we have a terrific team who can pave the way for reforms again.I have always said and wrote that it was Pc who started the reforms and the BJP just managed to be around when the fruits came along. The BJP was a team of miserable losers who managed to screw up things and print exactly the opposite.
